The good they do is so overshadowed by the word adultry.  You can't put lipstick on a pig.

B O R I N G

who the F cares about this!?

#2 - Tue Dec 2, 2008 1:11 PM EST

Well, I care and, actually, it's pretty amazing down there right now.  A lot of people are volunteering their time and money.  Ask your mommy and daddy what that big word 'volunteer' means.  When you get older, you may even want to help other people too.  Now, be a good little kid, and get off the computer and do your homework.

I can't let candy cane's comment stay alone on this page; her righteousness is repugnant to me.  Brad Pitt and family will long be remembered by the people of New Orleans.  They may not be his biggest movie fans but years and years from now, small children will ask their grandparents to tell them again the story about the man who built their home after the flood.  Most of us only touch the lives of a few if any at all.  Pitt's works benefit so many, now, in the present; his legacy will become folklore.   The bureaucracy could take some lessons from him.  And candy cane...get a grip!

#3 - Tue Dec 2, 2008 1:12 PM EST

Joanna Carol:   Do you honestly think Brad and Holie have rebuilt New Orleans.  There are many in the entertainment business building there, not just these two.  The only reason these two do anything is to get their name in print.

What angers me about this whole New Orleans thing is MISSISSIPPI was HIT by the hurricane and no one ever mentioned these people.  No one in long lines to help them out.  The supposed STARS will only help a immoral decaying city like New Orleans.  Typical of them to do this, they go where they are at home and hollyweird and New Orleans are about the same, immoral.

Brad is building houses the hurricane cannot hurt.  Fool.  The flooding came from the levey breaking.  If you dont fix the levey, nothing is safe.  Ask the Governor and Mayor of the City what they are going to do about that.  If they do not fix them, then what good is it doing to rebuild it.

Brad Pitt is an idiot. "If it is important to his kids!" What a crock of crappolla. What about, " Listen, it is important for us to be married for our kids sake. Why would you let your children decide if you are to get married or not. Can he hear the crap that is rolling off of his tongue? This liberal ideology is what is wrong with America now. You get married first, then you have kids. You surely do not let a child make a major decision such as this. Set the example for your children... Holy crap, this dude is retarded.

Wow. Glad to hear a few people in this world get it. I commend Brad for knowing what true happiness is (Family). I commend him for using his star power for something most won't do (Help rebuild New Orleans). And by the way I hated every movie he ever did.

What a sad day and time this is.

Is school out early today, Havok?

#7 - Tue Dec 2, 2008 1:50 PM EST

No, I just had to simplify it so you could understand.

"The bureaucracy could take some lessons from him." They think more along his lines than you care to admit. And folklore? You are being a bit dramatic aren't you?

#8 - Tue Dec 2, 2008 2:07 PM EST

Havok, Pitt and his group and Habitat for Humanity and probably other non-profits have managed to put up new, safe homes for hundreds while the bureaucracy just piles on the paperwork to the residents trying to rebuild - they are gettin nothing done!  Folklore, you bet.  Am I dramatic?  No, I am just plain thrilled to see the milestones that can be reached when people help people.  Sorry for you but good works inspire me!

#8.1 - Tue Dec 2, 2008 2:53 PM EST

Sounds more like drama inspires you more than anything else. Obviously you havent't actually read and put to thought my post. Actually I havent said anything derrogatory about them helping people, I think thats great. I just think that whether they get married or not depends on what his kids think is ludacris! Then if you read his interview again, he states that they will get married when gays are allowed to marry legally. Which is it gonna be, what his kids think or legalized gay marriage? So it would be best for you, in the future, to actually know what you are talking about before you actually open your mouth.

Somebody, somewhere, PLEASE... find the cyber-void and put this whole family in it, wait a decade or two, then open the door and let's see what pops out.  Maybe they'll come out just the eight of them or maybe they'll have had/adopted a few more, the point is we won't have to listen to it.

#9 - Tue Dec 2, 2008 2:11 PM EST

We are inundated with it continuously, we might not have to listen to it but we have to hear it regardless. It is great though that we have the first amendment and are allowed the opportunity to voice our opinions on such matters. Otherwise, why would this message board be of any importance to anyone.

Judy, as my mother would say, your sour grapes only show your jealous side.   Why waste your time posting if you are not interested in the story?  The story is, as I read it, the ongoing work/success of the building projects in New Orleans with a small aside about Pitt's family.  Have you met Havoc?   I am so amused by you folks who continuously read and comment on that which you claim to have no interest...lol, indeed!

How is it they can adopt and not be married? Why do they have to go out of the country to adopt. We have Children right here in the US who need homes. As my son says it's so they can get their names on the front cover. People in the US are put thru the wringer to adopt and here they are not married only together 3 years and wow we have a multi nation family. OH PLease who takes care of the kids? Kids come in handy for photo shoots

Joanna, your lack of morality is repugnant to me!  Have you ever heard, "Thou shalt not committ adultry"

#11 - Tue Dec 2, 2008 3:43 PM EST

Candy, how can you quote the bible "Thou shalt not commit adultery. (Exodus 20:14)" the seventh commandment by the way, and judge and acuse and belittle at the same time? Hipocrit comes to mind. Sounds like someone is talking out of both sides of their mouth.

Ephesians 4:32 (King James Version)

32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Candy Cane--ignoring children and letting them waste away is immoral.  Keep your fundamental Christian conservative ethics.  I'll take someone like Pitt and Jolie who actually care and take action.

#12 - Tue Dec 2, 2008 3:54 PM EST

This is true Marty, and they do help people. Obviously you are not a christian, and thats ok. Candy appears to be a hard liner and does more harm than good, but thats ok too. It takes all kinds. Their circumstances are a little different than over here Candy. They are oppressed, dirt poor and ran by a governmtent that lives in oppulence and decadence while their people starve and kill each other. They need a voice, a big voice. Bradjelina is a big voice.

It's a copout the line about marrying. When you cheat on your spouse to be with another, why bother. I say Miss Jolie is a collector of children, but this is a view from the outside looking in. Time will tell when these children grow up and can tell their own story.

#15 - Tue Dec 2, 2008 7:50 PM EST

Exactly, he is keeping his options open for when the curtain falls, which inevitably, it will. High profile marriages do not last in hollywood; besides this relationship always feels as if it is on the verge of collapse anyway. It seems to me that  A. Jolie is far left and Pitt is far right.  Actually I can not put my finger on it. I don't know, maybe I am wrong. It has hapened before. HMMMMM.

My favorite part of the article was where Pitt stated "six kids is not as easy as you think." Who else thought six kids were easy? Funny stuff....
